You and the other new employees at your table will be combined into an advertising team.  Each person at your table is responsible for a different trip location.  As travel agents for The Planet People you must develop an advertising campaign.  The purpose of your advertising campaign is to sell trips to the planets you have chosen.  Before you can begin your advertising campaign you must research your planets.

The questions you will want to answer include:

1.  Where is you planet located in our solar system?

2.  How many miles is your planet from Earth?

3.  Based on a traveling speed of 17,000 miles per hour, how long will it take for you to get there is traveling from Earth?  How old will you be when you get there?

4.  What is the atmosphere like on your planet?  Is the air breathable or will we need special equipment to breath?

5.  What are the general characteristics of you planet?  Size, diameter, solid, liquid, or gas?

6.  What are some of the special features of your planet?  Rings, great spots, volcanoes, deserts?

7.  Does you planet have water on it?  Does it have the elements that are required to make water?

8.  Does your planet have any natural satellites?  Moons, asteroids, comets.

9.  What is the temperature on your planet?

10.  How long does it take for your planet to travel around the sun?  How long in one day on your planet?

11.  Where will people stay once they get there?  What are the hotels and accommodations like?  Pools, spas, tours of local attractions, etc.

12.  What is your ship like?  Remember you will be traveling for years in some cases.  How will you make everyone comfortable and keep everyone healthy.

Once you have compiled all of the information that is required to reach the expert status you must create a Planet Travel Brochure.  The brochure can be created in the form of a Multimedia presentation like PowerPoint, or it can be make into a video commercial.  You can also explore options including a tri-fold brochure or poster board.
